"There is no such art as teaching - only the art of helping someone to learn." Credit goes to Transport Canada for this assertion... but it wasn't until I read this quotation during my flight instructor training that I found a statement that so aptly summarizes why I enjoy teaching. Teaching allows me to bring my own interests and passion
"There is no such art as teaching - only the art of helping someone to learn." Credit goes to Transport Canada for this assertion... but it wasn't until I read this quotation during my flight instructor training that I found a statement that so aptly summarizes why I enjoy teaching. Teaching allows me to bring my own interests and passions to the table - and my hope is to help others find their own success. This is true regardless of context - my motivation is the same, at school, in the airplane... or at the piano!

I offer lessons in Piano, Rudiments, Harmony, History and Pedagogy. In addition to the traditional offerings, I have a full studio equipped with 3 grand pianos (Yamaha C7/C7X) and many other exciting keyboard instruments. Ever heard of Hammond B3? How about a DX7 synthesizer?
No commitment to lessons should ever be made until a potential student (and their family) has the chance to meet the teacher and experience the environment in which the lessons will take place. Lessons are taught in my studio/Designated Heritage Building in the Queen's Park neighbourhood in New Westminster. I would be happy to meet with you to discuss how I might accommodate your needs.
